Tanuki Tiles is the product of a six month school project with a team of six. The goal was to develop a game for mobile devices that makes use of in-app purchases and advertisements. This was so that the team would think about the worth of purchasing virtual items and in-app purchase culture. Tanuki Tiles is a simple and fun puzzle game where the levels can be manipulated by swiping the tiles. This way the player has to create a path to the young Tanuki and bring them back to safety. The player is awarded with stars the faster they complete levels. More stars unlock new levels and secret levels.

Spiderbro was the product of a four to five month schoolproject with a team of six. The player takes the roll of a little spider who has been kicked out of his own house by a bigger, badder and hairier spider. To take back the house the player has to make their way through different rooms of the house and catch all the flies and defeat the predators of the spider in order to get to the attic where the big spider resides.
The biggest feature of the game is the ability to shoot a web on which the player can then walk. The player shoots two nodes in a direction, and a third node being the player themselves, to create a triangular spiderweb. This web can be traversed to reach higher places or to catch flies and butterflies who'll flee from the player.

Our Tavern!. Combining simplicity and strategy to create a fun little base defense game. A tavern somewhere behind the mountains serves the best Mead for miles and the dark legions want some of it. Position your units to fend of the horde and protect the tavern. Good positioning and knowing how to deal with the enemy is key because once they come there is no changing your decisions until the next horde arrives.
Our Tavern! is my first big project in the Unity platform. More about the development of this game can be found by going to the Development Blog page or clicking here: Game Mechanics: Our Tavern!. |
Narithia. What started of as an test engine for a simple RPG game, evolved into a small online RPG with it's own following and community. The game was writen in GameMaker with the necessary online extension packages (39dll). All coding and art was done by myself. Containing over 20 items, 4 sets of armor, 5 different kind of enemies and a vast town and surrounding area to explore. Players could chat with eachother and see what each was doing of their own.
An earlier (offline) version of the game received the second prize in a game design competition in 2010, the Creative Game Challenge at the University of Utrecht. By now the progress has stalled and the project has been dropped. But a lot has been learned and we had fun playing together. |
The King's Guard. A two player strategy game where the goal is to overthrow the opponent's King. The game can be played both online (local only) as offline where players will take turns for the controls. Each unit has it's own speciality and capabilities making for a more strategic approach instead of just charging for the opposing team's King.
The game has been completely programmed in GameMaker along with the neccesary packages to enable online play. Developed with GameMaker
